On the May 31, GESICO in collaboration with its distributor in the area THREE SAT, take out the assembly of a VSAT for Internet access via satellite in the monastery of Sant Miquel del Fai, joint attached to the rock and within a unique landscape, where numerous waterfalls leading to caves and rock formations, forming different landscapes depending on the season, all of them spectacular.
Given the impossibility of having ADSL at this wonderful place, the only option available for broadband use technology was provided by the satellite. Within a period of 6 days and with a length of 3 hours of assembly, the connection of the monastery was settled with the Internet and with it the management and administration thereof. |

On June 24 the Foundation REDSINFRONTERAS.ORG GESICO and held a demonstration in San Juan del Olmo (Avila) on the Internet by satellite, to be present T5 cameras in order to achieve wider dissemination of the project.

The 4x4 Wi-Fi is the star event of the Foundation since 2005 and toured the villages of the communities of Castilla Leon, Extremadura and Andalusia in order to support the Information Society and to help bridge the digital divide in rural areas and promote the use of broadband.
